Position : Tire Performance Engineer
The Tire Performance Engineer directly contributes to the performance of the race car by providing all the tire’s analysis to achieve the highest performance on track.
As a full time member of PEUGEOT Sport FIA World Endurance Championship trackside engineering team, they attend all the race events and most of the development track tests. They directly report to the Strategy & Tire Performance group leader and collaborates with trackside team (perfo chassis team, strategists). Between the track events he provides technical analysis to improve tire understanding and modeling as an input to strategy and chassis development.
Key Responsibilities
Race events:
• Analyze tires datas during sessions
• Track simulation replay
• Analyze opponent’s tire database
Track test session:
• Provide tire’s test item
• Detailed analysis and reports of tested items
Factory:
• Tire Pre event report
• Tire Post event analysis
• Support DIL team to improve tire model
• Develop tire data analysis methodology
• Liaise with the tyre supplier to support all tyre related track activities and modelling development
