Position: Systems Engineer
The Systems Engineer is responsible for monitoring all embedded electrical systems on track as well as overseeing hardware development at the factory.
As a member of PEUGEOT Sport's FIA World Endurance Championship trackside engineering team, the Systems Engineer attends race events and most development track tests. The rolereports directly to the Trackside Lead Systems Engineer and involves close collaboration with the trackside team (Systems, Performance, and Engine teams)
Between track events, the Systems Engineer conducts technical analyses to improve electrical systems, participates in the validation of new software functionalities, and contributes to systems development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor embedded electrical systems on track and test benches.
• Lead the resolution of electrical issues, including acting as team leader if required.
• Produce detailed analyses and reports on tested items.
• Contribute to ongoing systems development projects.
• Validate hardware and software upgrades on track and test benches.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Education / Technical Skills
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electronic/Electrical Engineering.
• Previous experience with data logging and telemetry systems.
• Familiarity with CAN and/or similar communication technologies.
• Technical expertise in racing car electrical and electronic systems.
• Knowledge of automotive high-voltage hybrid systems.
Personal Skills
• Ability to maintain a consistently high standard of work in stressful and time-sensitive situations.
• Quick decision-making skills with a scientific and analytical approach to problem-solving.
• Strong team player with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
Language Skills
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
• French language skills are appreciated but not mandatory.
