There is an exciting opportunity to join our engineering team at Kiro Race Co. Following a recent change in ownership, a dynamic rebrand and a new partnership with Cupra, Kiro Race Co is making moves as it transitions from a manufacturer programme to a customer team harnessing a Porsche Powertrain. As part of this shift, we are reorganising our engineering departments and are seeking a Senior Vehicle Science Engineer to push forward a lot of the performance and simulation related areas of the Performance group.


Position Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Vehicle Science Engineer to join our Vehicle Performance Group, reporting to the Head of Performance. This role is responsible for advancing our simulation and analysis to ensure peak vehicle performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong performance focus, utilising data-driven insights to refine vehicle dynamics for both current and future cars.


Key Responsibilities

  • Simulation & Analysis: Utilise advanced simulation tools to optimise the interactionbetween chassis and control systems.
  • Modelling & Correlation: Improve the accuracy of vehicle, tyre, and powertrain models through data correlation.
  • Event Support: Provide analysis and technical support at race and test events, ensuring optimal vehicle setup and performance.
  • Tool Development: Deliver analysis tools and define software requirements to enhance performance engineering.
  • Simulator & Testing: Support Driver-in-the-Loop (DIL) sessions and assist with the planning and execution of rig tests.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to performance reviews, helping to shape future car development.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Postgraduate degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong problem-solving, mathematical, and data science skills.
  • Proven track record in chassis performance development in high-level motorsport.
  • Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team with minimal supervision.
  • Strong ability to communicate technical information concisely and professionally.
  • Thorough understanding of Formula E controls, chassis, and tyre technology.
  • Knowledge of modern modelling and simulation within a performance engineering context.
