Salary (Depending on Experience)
~£34,000 - £40,000 inc Bonus Scheme
Target Hours - 42.5 hours *Weekend work and late nights may be required to meet unmovable deadlines
Duties and Responsibilities
Build, maintain, service and support our Diesel Race Cars
Ensure both cars are built to the same standards and specifications according to existing documentation
Working to tight timelines to ensure vehicles are ready for each race / event
Keep accurate records for the operation of the race car including parts fitted and replaced during events
Attend and support all race and test events
Pre and Post race truck and equipment organisation
Fulfil any other responsibilities that are related to the job
Liaise with other departments
Skills and Abilities
Motorsport engineering / experience working in race teams ideal
BMW / VAG experience would be beneficial
Good communication skills working in a team
Creative thinking and problem solving
Self-esteem, motivation, and goal setting
Organisational effectiveness and leadership
Good timekeeping
General good up keep in appearance and cleanliness.
The role will involve diagnostics and fitment of non-standard parts
Previous Workshop experience is essential
Basic tools are required, specialist tools provided
Formal qualifications are less important than skill, experience and enthusiasm
Applicants MUST have the following attributes:
Be eligible to work in the United Kingdom and EU
Full UK driving licence
Working Conditions
Normal working conditions will apply. Special working conditions may include late evenings and weekend work.
Physical Requirements
The role can be physically demanding. Often employee will be required to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects on a regular basis, doing repetitive tasks with few breaks
