Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.
 
From 2026, Audi will compete in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship.
 
The new team has two locations. Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for innovative technologies and passion for racing. The power unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for chassis development and race operations. The planned takeover by AUDI AG will turn two teams into one factory team - and you can be part of it.

The position for the Audi F1 Project is to be filled at Audi Formula Racing GmbH at the Neuburg (Germany) site.

In the area of high-voltage batteries, you will work on the key component of high-performance electric drives and do your part to ensure competitiveness in the highly competitive F1 environment. By testing at component and system level, you will ensure the validation and continuous development of our electric drive components in the Audi F1 Project. In addition, you will oversee test and racing operations in OPS/Mission Control.

 

Your tasks

  • Development and testing of energy storage systems for the Audi Formula 1 Power Unit.

 As part of the high-voltage battery development team, you are responsible for:

  • Planning, commissioning and testing of high-voltage battery components and systems
  • Support of relevant vehicle tests in the OPS area/Mission Control
  • Support of the F1 Championship in the OPS room/Mission Control
  • Data analysis and preparation of documents before and after the event
  • Direct interaction with ERS development and the Power Unit racing team
  • Working with prototypes and their production processes

 

Your profile

  • Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable course of study
  • Experience in the design, production and commissioning of high-voltage batteries including relevant documentation
  • Experience with data analysis software/tools used in high-end motorsport series
  • Experience in on- or off-track areas in high-end motorsport series
  • Experience in supporting OPS/Mission Control
  • Experience in testing and analyzing high-voltage components/systems
  • Certification as an electrician, certification for working under voltage is an advantage
  • Willingness, high motivation and flexibility to support the Grand Prix races live from OPS/Mission Control on weekends
  • Implementation strength as well as a high degree of motivation and initiative
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Goal-oriented, independent and structured way of working
  • Fluent German or English skills and the willingness to learn basic knowledge of the other language are required
