Race Mechanic

Want2Race is an exciting and dynamic company that has grown to become one of the most high-end renowned names around motorsport paddocks.

Based at Ginetta’s own test track, Blyton Park, Want2Race remodelled from their previous business of running track days, to facilitating rookie racing and support throughout the drivers’ maiden season of Ginetta GT Academy.

Want2Race focuses on driver development with Ginetta’s fleet of cars and providing exceptional support during test days and race weekends for the GT Academy rookies, enabling new drivers to gain confidence and grow their skills as a race driver.

The Role

The ideal candidate will have a professional, forward thinking and positive approach to managing all aspects of the W2R track support and workshop activities. A clear communicator and can-do attitude with focus on quality of work carried out and excellence in customer service.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Professional presentation of track & race cars both mechanically & aesthetically at events
• Support customers at track events including track days, testing and race weekends.
• Carry out preparation of race vehicles to a high standard in the workshop
• Maintain race vehicles and track day customer vehicles to high standard
• Professional appearance of team workshop and trucks always

Additional Info:

• Based predominantly at Blyton Park Circuit Lincolnshire
• Weekend work as required to look after W2R’s rookie race series drivers. Fixed rate overtime paid.
• Event work and travel essential as part of the role.
