Race Mechanic

Following ACI Motorsport's success in winning the Pro-Am SRO GT4 in 2024 and their consistent performance in Porsche Carrera Cup North America (PCCNA), we are expanding programs and seeking the right candidates to fill key positions. This offers an exciting opportunity to join a growing and successful team in high-level motorsport, contributing to ongoing success and new challenges across multiple series.

Duties:

Upkeep and Maintenance:

  • Responsible for the regular upkeep, maintenance, and setup of GT4 Porsche and Porsche Carrera Cup race cars to ensure they are race-ready at all times.

Assembly and Service:

  • Perform assembly, service, and operational tasks on the race cars at both the workshop and events.
  • All tasks must meet the highest industry standards of quality and precision.

Adherence to Technical Procedures:

  • Follow strict engineering and technical procedures when rebuilding and preparing the race cars.
  • Respect deadlines and ensure that work is completed within agreed timelines, which is crucial in a time-sensitive motorsport environment.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead a team of mechanics during race and test events, promoting teamwork, clear communication, and efficient problem-solving to ensure optimal performance at the track.

Skills / Experience Required:

Comprehensive Race Car Knowledge:

  • Must have extensive knowledge and practical skills in all areas of race car maintenance and repair, including mechanical, electrical, and aerodynamic systems.

High-Level Motorsport Experience:

At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within a high-level motorsport environment. Examples of relevant series include:

  • SRO GT4
  • GT4 European Series
  • Porsche Supercup
  • Porsche Carrera Cup North America (PCCNA)
  • IMSA (International Motor Sports Association)

Travel Requirements:

  • Attendance at All Test Events: The candidate must be present at all testing events, where critical data is gathered to fine-tune vehicle performance and setups.
  • Race Event Participation: The role requires attending all race events, including national and potentially international locations, to provide hands-on support for the assembly, setup, and real-time operation of the race cars.
  • Extensive Travel: Frequent travel is expected, which requires a high level of flexibility and commitment 

 

This role demands a skilled professional with experience in race car preparation, assembly, and management, as well as the ability to lead a team in high-stakes environments. The ideal candidate will not only be proficient in technical tasks but also be capable of working collaboratively under the pressure of racing deadlines.
