We are racing in GTWC, ICGT, Macau, and development of racing cars for a manufacturer in GT3 and GT4.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance and servicing:

  • Regular servicing and maintenance of race cars (GT3/GT4) according to team specifications.
  • Replacement and repair of parts, including engines, gearboxes, suspensions and brakes.
  • Carrying out functional checks on mechanical components.

Race day preparation:

  • Preparing race cars for practice sessions, qualifying runs and races.
  • Carrying out adjustments and fine tuning as directed by the engineering team/supervisor.
  • Ensuring that all safety regulations and technical requirements are met.

Fault diagnosis and rectification:

  • Quickly and accurately diagnosing technical problems and rectifying them under time pressure.
  • Use of diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot.
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement solutions

Pit stops:

  • Preparation and execution of pit stops during the race, including tyre changes, refuelling and repairs.
  • Ensuring efficient and error-free execution of pit stops to minimise downtime.

Documentation and reporting:

  • Keeping detailed records of maintenance work, spares and technical issues.
  • Preparing reports for the engineering team and team management.
  • Participation in technical meetings and debriefings.

Safety and quality standards:

  • Compliance with all safety regulations and standards in workshop and race operations.
  • Ensuring the team's high quality standards in all technical matters.

 

Professional requirements

  • Ideally completed training as a motor vehicle mechanic or comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience as a mechanic
  • Solid experience in GT3 racing series
  • 3 years experience as a race mechanic
  • Class B driving licence
  • Good written and spoken English language skills
  • Sound knowledge of vehicle technology, particularly in relation to racing vehicles
  • Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong technical understanding and problem solving skills
  • High quality standards and precise working methods
  • Manual dexterity and technical understanding

Essential:
The ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritise and be methodical in your approach is essential.
The position requires extensive domestic and international travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours, including weekends.
