Race Engineer

Following ACI Motorsport's success in winning the Pro-Am SRO GT4 in 2024 and their consistent performance in Porsche Carrera Cup North America (PCCNA), we are expanding programs and seeking the right candidates to fill key positions. This offers an exciting opportunity to join a growing and successful team in high-level motorsport, contributing to ongoing success and new challenges across multiple series.

Essential Functions:

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and interpret data to make performance-enhancing recommendations.
  • Simulation and Data Analysis: Use simulation tools, analyze statistical data, and manage fuel / tire mileage.
  • Attention to Detail: The ability to focus on precision, which is critical for engineering and performance optimization.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey ideas and data to team members and drivers.
  • Pre-Event & Post-Event Reporting : detailed pre and post reporting, both in technical performance and team operations
  • Understanding of Vehicle Dynamics: A strong knowledge of how vehicles respond to different setups, adjustments, and track conditions, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Race-Related Performance Engineering Principles: Familiarity with performance optimization in racing, including aerodynamics, suspension tuning, and fuel management.
  • Track Support: Must be willing and able to travel extensively, as race events and testing occur at various locations.
  • Team Player: The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with others in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Integrity: A high level of honesty and professionalism is expected, especially in a competitive racing context.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Experience:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related race engineering position is required. Examples of relevant series include:

  • SRO GT4
  • GT4 European Series
  • Porsche Supercup
  • Porsche Carrera Cup North America (PCCNA)
  • IMSA (International Motor Sports Association)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering: A foundational engineering degree is required for this role.

Technical and Computer Skills:

Advanced computer skills are necessary, particularly in:

  • Pi Cosworth software for data collection and analysis.
  • KPI data collection systems for performance metrics tracking.
  • MATLAB for simulations, data analysis, and engineering computations.
  • HH Timing strong knowledge of HH Timing

This role is ideal for someone with a solid engineering background, proven racing experience, and strong technical skills, along with the flexibility and commitment required for the demands of motorsport.
