An opportunity has arisen for a Material Controller to join the Jaguar TCS Racing department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. 


 About the role

To plan and co-ordinate the material consumption of both the Formula E Race and R&D Programmes to deliver agreed objectives including stock and material control for the Formula E Programmes. This role will provide an essential link between the Design, Procurement and Stores functions to create and manage the Materials Requirements Planning Function.

 

What you will do

  • Maintain and operate a Materials Control system in conjunction with the project quantity plan and material control procedures.
  • Work with both the Design and Operations Teams to accurately reflect demand in the MRP system. To include, managing the CRS report and integration into D365 and subsequently flagging and managing any up issues, cancellations, additions or quantity changes to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Co-ordinate all materials requirements and supply material demand to the procurement team to facilitate the purchase of parts.
  • Manage and carry out the mechanisms by which stock is managed and consumed to the programme; specifically ensuring that all stock lines are consumed to the right programme/event codes for cost cap compliance.
  • Manage and co-ordinate the Sales/Works Order processes to maintain accurate stock records for the programme.
  • Communicate stock and material shortages to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare and issue daily, weekly and monthly reports to facilitate the smooth running of the operation of the programme. These could include, but are not limited to, Goods-in receipts, Sales Order Chases. Sales Order Shortages, Stock reports, etc.
  • Manage any ad hoc demand requests, dealing with them and flagging as required with the procurement team.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the materials management system, implementing appropriate changes to improve processes and efficiency.

 

About you

  • Experience with managing stores and stock.
  • Proven track record of personally managing delivery of processes and items.
  • Previous experience, and understanding of, a motorsport environment.
  • Understanding of race car components and process involved in procuring / manufacturing the components 
  • Understanding of customer team requirements and the operational impact of them.
  • Commercial Awareness and an acute sense of detail.
  • Excellent communicator, both verbal and written, at all levels and across all business functions.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and networks across the organisation.
  • Capable of challenging in a constructive and positive manner.
  • Competent Excel skills
