The first American Formula 1 team to compete in the sport since 1986, MoneyGram Haas F1 Team made an immediate impression with a memorable points-scoring debut at the 2016 Australian Grand Prix. Nine years later, and the team continues to demonstrate growth and a clear direction with its future objectives – coming off the back of its second-best season to-date in Formula 1.


We’re a racing team – not a corporate machine. We have three HQs – Kannapolis in the US, Banbury in the UK and Maranello in Italy – each powered by passionate, loyal and hardworking team ambassadors. General Summary:

This position reports to the Director of Marketing or their designee and is located in Banbury, UK. This role requires a strong administrator that is highly organized with excellent attention to detail and personable skills. Working in a high-pressure environment where accuracy, organization, multi-tasking and high levels of customer service will be essential. This is a support role in a busy organization, working closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
  • Ensure all guests enjoy a unique and premium experience at any team event
  • Follow all safety regulations in all venues.
  • Assumes any responsibilities and duties delegated by the Director of Marketing or their designee.

 

Hospitality Guest Management

  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and wider team to plan and subsequently lead guest experience programs at required events, including races.
  • Be the ‘go-to’ person to respond to all queries and the needs of partner guests in advance of and throughout each event, providing a friendly, approachable and knowledgeable interface between the team and guests.
  • Manage the coordination of guest credentials, ticketing needs, and the creation of guest itineraries, including the arrival/departures of special guests (VIPs, SAs etc.)
  • Manage the ordering, billing and payment process for hospitality and grandstand tickets.
  • Track hospitality and grandstand tickets budget against forecast and report monthly
  • Prepare and distribute accreditation, passes and gift bags for all guests as required.
  • Assist with the setup and presentation of the hospitality unit in accordance with brand guidelines, working closely with supporting agencies.
  • Schedule and attend the trackside pre-event marketing meeting and circulate meeting notes.
  • Schedule and lead garage, paddock and factory tours as required, ensuring a high level of operational understanding and excellent communication skills.
  • Maintain a full understanding of other at track activities that may be of interest to guests and ensure they are made aware.
  • Monitor and review the service and presentation in all guest experience areas and communicate required improvements to the Director of Marketing and Team Manager.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly activation reports and submit to Director of Marketing, Team Manager and Team Principal.
  • Responsible for selecting and ordering guest gifts for delivery ahead of each season, ensuring that all required items are appropriately shipped to each event.
  • Responsible for creating and circulating race-by-race guest satisfaction survey to team guests and Partners in attendance.

 

Education and Work Experience:

  • Background in event management or hospitality delivery, preferably within F1 or high-end hospitality sector.
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to forward plan and coordinate.
  • Excellent organization and interpersonal skills, with high standards of customer service.
  • Educated to A-Level or graduate level.

 

Specialized Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal, to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure, self-motivate, manage time effectively, resolve conflict, and a willingness to be flexible and learn.
  • A can-do positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential.
  • Quick decision-making skills and demonstrate an ability to work through problems and find creative solutions.
  • Capable of working in a team environment to a very high standard, with a positive work attitude and a sympathetic approach to your work colleagues.

 

Equipment and Applications:

  • Solid computer knowledge, preferred experience in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to follow complex regulations related to shipment of materials.

 

Work Environment Physical Demands:

An ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role will require extensive domestic & international travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends.

 

This position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast-paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids. All employees must ensure compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policy, and all relevant other statutory Health and Safety legislation.
