About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development, and optimisation of race vehicles, ensuring top performance on track. You will work closely with other engineers, drivers, and the team to push the limits of performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Vehicle Development:

  • Collaborate on the development of various components such as chassis, aerodynamics and suspension.
  • Utilise simulation tools, and data analysis to optimise vehicle performance.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to improve vehicle handling, speed, and reliability.

Race Preparation & Testing:

  • Coordinate and participate in on-track testing and race events, including analysing acquired data to improve vehicle performance.
  • Provide real-time technical support and feedback during race events.

Data Analysis:

  • Analyse data collected from vehicles during practice sessions, qualifying rounds, and races.
  • Utilise data acquisition systems to monitor vehicle performance, providing insights to improve lap times and reliability.
  • Implement changes based on performance data to enhance vehicle competitiveness.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with drivers, providing technical advice to optimise driving performance.
  • Collaborate with mechanics and pit crew to ensure the vehicle is ready for races and testing.
  • Coordinate with other engineers to achieve overall team objectives.

 

Key Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Motorsport Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in Motorsport or Performance Engineering (preferred).

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in the motorsport industry, ideally in high level single seaters.
  • Hands-on experience with race car preparation and data analysis.
  • Strong familiarity with race car systems, such as aerodynamics, suspension, engine, and transmission.

Technical skills:

  • Experience with professional motorsport data systems and data acquisition software (e.g., Wintax, Pi Toolbox).
  • Experience with laptime simulation software (e.g. Canopy, ChassisSim, AeroLap)
  • Experience with MATLAB would be beneficial
