Mahindra Racing is a motor racing team based in Banbury, United Kingdom, competing with an Indian racing license. The team is currently competing in the electric FIA Formula E Championship since the inaugural season in 2014

 

Role Overview:

A Role is available for a Control Systems Engineer in the control systems department at Mahindra Racing. We are looking for an experienced engineer to join us on a full-time basis reporting to the Head of Control systems. This engineer will be responsible for developing control systems and supporting track test events and dyno test events.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Development of control systems and analysis tools.
  • Research and develop new control strategies based on modern control design techniques
  • Specify and peer review new control strategies with control and performance engineers
  • Collaborate with the Simulation department to carry out more complex investigations and implementations.
  • Implement control software for the ECU environment.
  • Test, calibrate and validate software using DIL or HIL.
  • Work with Race drivers both in DIL and on track to optimize and calibrate control systems.
  • Document and communicate new control strategies to relevant department

 

Qualifications, skills and experience required:

  • A degree in a relevant discipline. Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer science.
  • Experience working control systems in motorsport.
  • Experience working with simulation tools.
  • Experienced working with Matlab and Simulink.
  • Experienced working with MAT tools such as MCT, Atlas, System monitor.
